Board of Directors Sean P. Sears – ChairmanSean Sears is a seasoned entrepreneur with 26 years of business experience. He is a senior executive with strong communication and operational skills. He spent the first 11 years of his career in the consulting business, principally with Andersen Consulting (Accenture), which at the time was the world's largest consultancy. He has an additional 15 years experience as an entrepreneur, acting as a CEO/President/Board Member in several successful companies including Cycor Communications, abridean and Ogden Pond Venture Management. Mr. Sears has experience in raising capital, corporate & board governance, business & capital strategies and building great management teams and brands. Mr. Sears currently sits on the Board and acts as Chair for Ogden Pond Capital and Export Nova Scotia. He is also Co-Chair of Spirit Nova Scotia, a non-for-profit focused on purposeful society building. David GoughDavid Gough brings over three decades of corporate and entrepreneurial business and relationship management expertise to ExportNS, as an innovative marketing and business development professional with extensive experience in the IT and high technology industries. His early corporate experience with Xerox Corp., Sperry Corp., and NCR Canada led him to establish a successful global consulting practice in 1996 to provide innovative, effective and trusted business facilitation, international trade and advisory services across a variety of industry sectors. Well known as a proactive promoter and leader in the Atlantic Canadian technology community on a regional, Nova Scotian and local Halifax basis, David is a past Director of Canada’s Softworld conferences, a past President of Nova Scotia's IT and Aerospace & Defence associations, a co-founder of NovaKnowledge and the Halifax TECH-table, and he has successfully positioned the region’s technology assets on the web. Mr. Gough is currently the President of Gough Technology Group Inc., the Regional Manager, Atlantic Canada with The York Group from Boston, a Partner at Tech East & East Coast Tech Connection, and Chair of the Atlantic Chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada (AmCham Canada). Jim EnmanJim Enman is a lawyer and entrepreneur with over 25 years experience. His law practice has focused on corporate-commercial matters, especially business acquisitions, divestitures and combinations, early stage technology companies, and financing and commercialization of new technologies. He has participated in several business startups as a director, officer and shareholder, mainly involving information technologies or mineral exploration, several of which were acquired by publicly traded corporations. Mr. Enman has provided business consulting services to a variety of corporations, First Nations bands, and agencies (including the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency), especially relating to feasibility assessments, planning of new business ventures and commercialization of technology. He is currently a director of several private companies, including Ogden Pond Capital Limited. Doug FraserDoug Fraser is an internationally recognized artist. He has has been an invited quest artistic lecturer in both Canada and the United States. He participates in export and best practices art missions and is noted for the creativity of his work and his entrepreneurism. Doug Fraser maintains his artistic pursuits and his works can be found in many private collections and his new work at www.dougfraserart.com. His love of the environment has developed into a study of best practices for environmental co-existance with industrialization. He advises organizations on development practices and environmental polices. He is a past Chair of the Inverness Tourism Association and an activist member of several Artistic organizations and currently sits on the Board of Directors of Loch Ban Consultant Inc and ExportNS. Lenore MombourquetteLenore Mombourquette is a committed professional who began her career in the area of corporate services including corporate governance, human resources and financial modeling. In the last 11 years she has worked with organizations to create and improve their general policies and procedures. She has been very successful in implementing many human resource initiatives and general corporate services projects. Lenore also develops and maintains comprehensive financial models for many newly formed companies and develops shareholder relations programs. She is currently President of Ogden Pond Capital. She also volunteers with the Provincial Autism Centre and sits on the Central Region Autism Services Management Board. Richard OrmstonRichard Ormston is a Chartered Accountant with over 28 years experience. He spent 25 years as Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, having led the firm’s Atlantic Canada tax practice and has extensive experience in corporate and transaction structuring, with a focus on cross-border issues. He has significant experience in technology, Oil & Gas, and other primary industries. In the last 4 years Rick has independently consulted to domestic, foreign and multi-national enterprises. He is CFO/Board member of Simunication Inc. (successful merger with Borland Software in 2008) and currently is the CFO/Board member of REM Forest Products Inc., tropical hardwood harvesting company operating on Pacific coast of Colombia using heli-logging techniques. Rick is currently a director of Ogden Pond Capital and Export NS. Susanne Willett, CASusanne Willett is a Chartered Accountant and a senior financial strategist backed by 30 years of experience within a diverse range of sectors. She has an exemplary reputation and a high level of integrity as evidenced by the confidence gained through her senior positions with tightly regulated, publicly traded and crown corporations. Ms. Willett is highly experienced in adding strategic value in financial planning and streamlining operations. She has enjoyed various senior management roles in the utilities, communications and fishing industries. Her 11 years of providing exceptional fiscal leadership at New Brunswick Power, and finance and planning direction for Atlantis Communications Inc., form part of her sterling reputation as a superior change agent. She also is active in her community, having served as the chair of the successful campaign to establish a safe haven for homeless women.
